UPDATE: Saying Goodbye to Wally
Posted October 18, 2016
We’re deeply saddened to let you know that we lost sweet little Wally yesterday. He’d improved greatly, and was happy and seemed much better for two very good weeks. But, sadly, he started to go downhill quickly last weekend, and died on Wednesday. Wally was deeply loved by his foster family – to him his ‘forever family’ – and they, and all of us at the Goathouse, are heartbroken.
With your help, Wally was seen at the NC State Veterinary School, and was diagnosed with severe meningitis, likely brought on by the dreaded cat virus, FIP, for which there is no cure. Despite this diagnosis, he had many good days, and lots and lots of love from his family. With help from donors, we’ve paid just shy of $2000 of Wally’s $3400 bill. If you can help us pay the rest, we’d be grateful. We know that this is a lot of money to spend on a kitten – but at the Goathouse, all of our cats our precious, as if they were our own, and we do whatever we can to help them.
You can help us pay the rest of Wally’s bill by contributing to his care. Your generosity will help us continue to care for future kittens and cats.
