The Goathouse Refuge is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, no-kill animal sanctuary dedicated to providing cage-free care for cats regardless of age, medical issues or disposition until a permanent loving adoptive home can be found.

Last year the Refuge rescued Morris, a sweet, black kitten who was thrown from a moving car and required expensive medical intervention to repair a broken leg. In order to cover Morris’ extensive medical bills, we reached out to the Ian Somerhalder Foundation. Thanks to their generous gift, Morris’ story has a wonderfully happy ending!
