Evolution logoOctober 16 is National Feral Cat Day and we are asking you to HELP US SUPPORT our 79 feral cats.

Sponsoring a feral cat at the Goathouse Refuge costs you $100 but it gives one of our ferals a lifetime of health, safety and freedom in our no-kill animal sanctuary dedicated to providing cage-free care for cats regardless of age, medical issues or disposition.

We still have 3 ferals that we took in from Hurricane Katrina over 10 years ago!

Simply click on the Donate button below and, once you are in Paypal, click the “Which feral cat are you sponsoring?” link to list which feral you want to support. Or email Siglinda with the name of the feral you want to sponsor.

Please fund a feral…

Please Fund a Goathouse Feral! Your donation goes directly to support our feral cats who had no other options when they arrived at the Refuge. In the majority of NC counties, cats are still caught and brought to animal pounds and shelters where they are killed. The shelter system is the number one cause of death for cats in the United States. About 70% of cats who enter shelters are killed there, including virtually 100% of feral cats. The Goathouse Refuge is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and all your donations are fully tax-deductible.

Feral Cats have lived alongside humans for more than 10,000 years. They are part of the natural landscape. Feral cats are the same species as pet cats. Feral cats, also called community or outdoor cats, live in groups called colonies and can thrive in every landscape. They are just as healthy as pet cats, but they are not socialized to humans and are therefore unadoptable. Here are just a few of our ferals who need a sponsor:

Ferals funded so far and we send many, many THANKS to their sponsors!!
