Fantastic Rescue for Five Special Babies

Thanks to one very hardworking Board Member and Goathouse volunteer, Mariska Leunissen, five little kittens with ‘swimmers syndrome’ have been saved from death in a county shelter. Mariska reached out to other rescues around the country and found one who is familiar with this syndrome and will take them in. Cats with this syndrome can be rehabilitated with focused physiotherapy and lots of love.

The shelter that has agreed to take them in is The Mia Foundation of Rochester, NY. They are dedicated to giving animals born with birth defects a fighting chance. Rescuers supporting other rescuers, it just makes your heart sing!
