A Win for Homeless Animals in Muncie, IN!

Here’s a heartwarming story from Muncie, IN, where they have just passed a new law that requires municipal shelters “to maintain at least a 90% live release rate, makes it illegal to kill healthy and treatable animals, including community cats, and requires the shelter to work with rescue groups, foster homes, and much, much more.” This is an inspiring story from a city that already has “a 95% live release rate for dogs, 97% for cats, and 98% for rabbits and other small animals,” and proof that there are effective and humane ways to care for homeless animals.
