Cat of the Week: Ears
Posted November 16, 2011
This gentle eight-year-old tabby girl really needs a friend. Change isn’t easy for any cat and seems to be harder for a middle-aged girl like Ears. She’s been through a lot the past few months; she lost her home through no fault of her own, found herself on death row in a public shelter, and then came to the Goathouse. Being in a new place with so many other cats has stressed her out and she stopped eating; she’s fragile and bony right now but will eat when someone pets her or holds her. We’re keeping her in a cage so we can monitor her health and food intake.
Someone loved this cat very much at some point in her life; you can tell by how affectionate she is and how much she appreciates attention from people. She loves being petted and held, and has a prize-winning purr. Ears really needs a foster home (or better yet, a forever home) with a patient loving person who will help her feel safe and make sure she eats (and syringe feed her if necessary). Please call us if you are willing to open your home and your heart to this sweet tabby girl.
