Valentine’s Day Message from Siglinda

Dear Goathouse Friends and Family,
“We are gifted by our mothers with a bag of love when we are born, if we don’t give it to someone, to some creature, to something that makes us see it and feel it, and receive it back, we are going to be very unhappy creatures….”
Valentine’s Day should not be just a day to use empty words or empty gestures, it is the time to truly express and use the power of love!
Here at the Goathouse love is a very powerful tool we use to care for and heal vulnerable creatures, some of whom bear horrible wounds in their body and souls. Every day we see how they recover and find new joy and life because of the love we give them!
Our little jewel, Asia who has been with us for more than 10 years, went to surgery for dentals and for a little lump on her back, for two days she didn’t totally wake up from sedation… When she came home, I held her in my arms and her rigid little body started to relax and she started purring. Now she eats on her own. I massage and stretch her legs every day, many times a day; she has a way to go but we are here for her as long as it takes.
When you walk through the Refuge, through the gardens and through the Sanctuary where many of the old and non-adoptable cats are, we know that you will feel the serenity and joy of this magical place… Please, be part of keeping Goathouse Feline Sanctuary alive, help us financially to care for these fantastic creatures. You know that we can only keep doing what we do if we receive enough donations to support our work. The generosity of our supporters is what helped us for 22 years saving the lives of thousands of great, sweet cats, their babies, the moms, the old and young. So many found loving families, thousands of them, where they gave so much love and received so much love. Please, help us, as much as you can, to keep caring for them.
Our gratitude for all you have given throughout the years is immeasurable…. I wish that I could invent a new word that does not feel like an over washed sweater, that could convey to you how much your help means to us! Every time we can pay our Vet bills, buy food, or medications we thank you, our donors, with our hearts… Money, like power, has no value without a good purpose.
