Adoption Statistics
2022 saw 129 Goathouse kitties find their forever homes, including Evan- who lived at the refuge for 5 years, Lee- who had been at the refuge for 4 and 1/2 years, Victor- a sweet FIV+ cat who had been at the Goathouse for almost 4 years, and Mel-a semi-feral kitty who had lived at the refuge for 13 years and 8 months! Intake of kitties was drastically reduced so that the focus could mainly be on finding forever homes for the current adoptable cats as the Goathouse Refuge made the decision and started the beginning preparations to transition to a senior cat sanctuary.
With the pandemic still going strong, 2021 continued to be a year of challenges for everyone, as well as for the Goathouse Refuge.
But even through it all, with the help of wonderful volunteers, our Cat Tales Cat Cafe partnership, teriffic fosters, and the Goathouse
staff, 308 kitties found their forever homes!
2020 was a year like no other! But even during a pandemic the Goathouse Refuge was able to help 365 kitties find their forever homes and families to find their new best friends in a big way. That averages out to 1 cat per day (minus leap day)! With people spending so much time at home this past year, many have realized how beneficial having a pet could be and we are so happy that we have been able to be a part of that process. Since opening their doors, Cat Tales Cat Cafe to date has now completed 200 adoptions! We are so excited about our partnership!
The Goathouse Refuge had 204 cats find their forever homes in 2019! That’s an average of 17 cats per month. Our partnership with The Cat Tales Cat Café began in February when the business opened, which helped our adoptions to increase to 204 in 2019 from 186 the previous year. We are so excited that Cat Tales Cat Cafe had 75 adoptions!
