Many, many heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed and let us meet our goal of $10,000 raised by 11/30. We have qualified for the matching $10,000 grant! The cats and kittens could not have asked for a better Christmas present.

Special thank you to Shannon for putting us there with a donation of $799 that took us to the top!
Oscar is one of the happiest three-legged, one-eyed cats you’ll find. Though he is still a little shy from a traumatic accident — he was hit by a car and left in the parking lot — he is steadily coming out of his shell.
What’s so special about Oscar?
Oscar needed help and we answered the call. As Hendrick Van Loon pointed out: “We are fellow passengers on the same planet, and we are all equally responsible for the happiness and well-being of the world in which we happen to live.” This is our commitment and our passion at Goathouse Refuge.
Along with the 200 rescued cats and kittens that have found a safe haven at Goathouse Refuge, Oscar enjoys the good life — tasty meals, medical attention and a congregation of friends within our no-kill, cage-free, indoor-outdoor facility. Other happy rescued animals such as dogs, goats and free-roaming fowl surround Oscar’s home in the midst of award-winning gardens.
We have created something very special at Goathouse and it is only with your support that we are able to sustain this pioneering form of care for homeless cats and kittens.
Big News!
We met our goal of $10,000 by November 30 which let us meet the $10,000 challenge and obtain a matching grant.
